-acquired small wood treating division of Gee Lumber Company (Chicago IL) in 1991 with small location on the south side of Chicago and have grown into one of the largest producers of fire retardant wood products in the USA.
-production plants in Montgomery IL, Fort Worth TX, and Kinsale, VA and additional distribution facilities in Milwaukee WI, Long Island NY, and soon in Eagle Lake FL.
2021-present day : founder/partner-owner : GEMM Technologies LLC, an R&D/development company providing proprietary alternative (non Portland cement) intellectual property and products to a broad array of companies producing or using traditional Portland cement in their current products. Proprietary technologies that allowing 50-60% lower carbon emissions compared to traditional Portland cements, as well as superior performance.
2015-2020 : founder/CEO/owner of Fire Retardant Chemical Technologies, LLC, an R&D/development company for specialty wood treatment chemicals, including fire retardants and other related products. Successfully built from a start up to a profitable entity supplying wood treatment and fire retardant chemicals to the wood treating industry. Sold to a NYSE listed company in 2020.
2008-2011 : founder/CFO/owner of Directors Live, a digital medial company based out of Scottsdale AZ and North Hollywood CA that created various websites, along with both content creation and content aggregation. Early adaptor of monetizing large amounts of referral traffic through third party digital advertising networks. Built from start up to very substantial revenues/profits. Wound down the business after industry wide changes in monetization of lower grade referral traffic.
